Dear friends, families, employees and supporters of Crossroad,
The services we provide, the care we give, the lives we change are due in such great part to the generosity of those who support us. For 127 years individuals, churches, businesses and foundations have helped change the futures for thousands of young people here on our campus. Thank you on behalf of the children, their families, the staff, the Board of Directors and me.
In November 2006, I took the helm of this venerable agency that I had been proud to serve for so many years. I did so with one vision: for Crossroad to be recognized as a center for excellence – the place preferred by kids, families and placing agents to help them with difficult problems.
A lot was done. We reorganized treatment services to better meet client needs, set new standards on how services are delivered and placed a renewed emphasis on providing extraordinary customer service. We maintained our unique status of dual accreditation because meeting diverse best practice standards simply makes us better. We made a significant investment in a new program design for Interdependent Living services to ensure that our young clients have every opportunity for success when they begin adulthood. Even more changes are in the works as we keep pace with the changing needs of children and families.
As we celebrate our 127th anniversary, we remain committed to providing competent services delivered courteously, compassionately and professionally because our clients deserve the best. Although our changes are satisfying, we are not satisfied. We reject complacency because the quest for improvement and the pursuit of excellence are never ending. To borrow the words of an old hit tune...we’ve only just begun.
