The Shelter Care Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of both Youth & Family Specialists and residents in a living unit for staff-secure residential care, as well as respite/shelter care. Shelter Care Supervisor responsibilities include team building, coaching, mentoring, evaluating performance, and handling staff disciplinary actions. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits.

The job candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field AND a minimum of one year of experience in the human services field. A preferred candidate will also have a minimum of two years of supervisory and leadership experience and demonstrate excellent supervisory and team-building skills. Residential treatment experience is preferred.

The Shelter Care Supervisor must have computer knowledge as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. The applicant must possess excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, have the ability to handle interruptions, and work in a team atmosphere. The Shelter Care Supervisor must become certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and be able to provide physical intervention, as needed, for resident behavior management. S/he must possess good time-management skills and the ability to be flexible due to schedule changes and/or crisis management.

A nurse is needed for treatment center providing residential mental health services for children and adolescents. RN preferred; LPN required.  Experience in psychiatric, office, or adolescent pediatric nursing preferred.  CPR/First Aid certification is required.  This is a full-time position with benefits.

Ask about our hiring bonus! We currently need full-time Youth & Family Specialists for second & third shifts.  Weekend availability is required.

Youth & Family Specialists work directly with emotionally troubled children and their families in both residential and home-based settings. Tasks include supervising, role modeling, teaching life skills, assisting with education and recreation programs, interacting, and caring for youth. A preferred candidate will have a degree in a human services field or 3 years experience in a human services field. S/he must have good computer skills and be at least age 21 with a valid driver’s license.
