The preferred candidate for the Teacher position will possess a Masters or Bachelors Degree in Special Education and have an active teaching license with Middle School/High School Certifications. S/he must be eligible for Highly Qualified Teacher status. Teaching experience with emotionally disabled youth is desirable. The candidate must have knowledge of emotional disturbances, learning disorders, and instructional techniques. S/he will have the ability to maintain composure, to think clearly in crisis situations, and demonstrate maturity, responsibility, and punctuality. The teacher must have the ability to work independently and as a part of a treatment team. This is a full-time position with benefits.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance, installation, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the buildings and grounds of Crossroad. S/he will perform general building maintenance in compliance with applicable codes. This person must have knowledge of mechanical equipment, electrical applications, large and small power tools, hand tools, and auto mechanics and be able to troubleshoot maintenance problems. S/he will have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work with minimal supervision. The candidate must have basic math skills and possess at least high school diploma or GED. At least one year experience in facilities maintenance is required and s/he must have valid driver’s license. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Youth & Family Specialists work directly with emotionally troubled children and their families in both residential and home-based settings. Tasks include supervising, role modeling, teaching life skills, assisting with education and recreation programs, interacting, and caring for youth. A preferred candidate will have a degree in a human services field or 3 years experience in a human services field. S/he must have good computer skills and be at least age 21 with a valid driver’s license.

Working with the Chief Development Officer (CDO), the Development Director is responsible for annual development functions and communication of the agency’s vision, mission, and programs to individuals, groups, businesses, churches, and foundations. S/he is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating the agency’s financial development program and for diversifying and strengthening the base of its donors. The Development Director must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Fundraising, or related discipline; specific fundraising training is preferred. The candidate must have a minimum of five years of experience in development positions of progressively increased responsibilities to include direct mail, planned giving, grant writing, and capital campaigns. The Development Director must have strong organization skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
